Christmas Eve in Poland

Hi guys! ♡
So.. Christmas Eve is definitely one of the most important days (or rather evenings) for the most of people from Poland. Personally it's my favourite day in a year. I know that for example Americans celebrate Christmas just in 25th December (unfortunately I don't know exactly, how do it people from other countries), but yes, we most celebrate in 24th December. So what do we do?
We meet with our family, some people meet with their immediate family, like me, and some with their extended family too. A lot of persons start when the first star appears in the sky. Then we pray or read a fragment of the Bible, afterwards wish all the best to each other. Afterwords everybody sit at the holiday table on which are usually twelve traditional (and sooo yummy ♡♥) Polish dishes, like e.g. borscht with dumplings, pierogis, carp, salads, cakes and many of the other! In the middle of Christmas Eve is time for children who wait for their presents from the beginnig (of course, adults also get presents :p). Santa Claus is called Święty Mikołaj or just Mikołaj, by the way he also brings present in 6th December, because it's his feast!
We celebrate to about 8 o'clock and then start to prepare for the Shepherdess which is at 10 or 12 o'clock. It's really amazing mass and I honestly love it. We can already start to sing carols at this mass.
I think that I have written all the most important informations about Polish Christmas Eve. Obviously some people don't celebrate it or do it in another way, but I just wanted to describe overall this Christmas Eve which I and most of my friends know from our childhood ^^

Christmas baking <3

Monday and Thusday - those two days were really hard-working for me. I was in kitchen nearly all the time. But most importantly, I made four cakes (yeah, four !! :D), fruit salad and a fish. It was a great time, because I just love baking and cooking <3
I know this text is a little bit short, but I'm going to write the next one to a minute. And it's going to be about lovely and traditional Polish Christmas Eve ♥

Christmas shopping

Hi guys!
Today I have benn shopping, because I was in need of some presents for me (as I wrote). And I have found so much things! I'm very glad of this day.
What am I doing right now? I'm laying on my sofa and drinking tea, which I have in my new cup ♡
I'm gonna learn English for a moment, but I don't know.. I'm so tired and lazy :p

Xmas with my class

Hello.
Yeaterday I was celebrating Christmas Eve in my class. We did it so early, because today has been the last day in school. We'll see ourselfs in January.
I was looking forward to it from a long time, as I really love my class (I don't know why, I think I shouldn't) and spending time with them.
Everybody was wearing gala clothes and we helped with food and our table. There were a lot of traditional, fastival dishes e.g. fish, pierogis or borscht with dumplings. But also some cakes, fruits, salads. Everything was so yummy!! ♡
But in the beginner, my classmate Mateusz, read a part of Bible. And then everybody was consisting wishes, so creative wishes like that ,,Merry Christmas" nothing more was needed :P
I'm very glad of our little festival. I have already sent a text for my school's website, so there are our photos and everything is describe.
Now I'm only waiting for the real Christmas, I'm so excited in this year. Christmas has never been so important for me as in this year. I'm just afraid about my presents, because I haven't ordered them yet, so I can get nothing, but tomorrow I'm going to buy something in the shopping mall :))

Berlin Trip

A week ago I was on the best school trip ever. We went to Berlin and I was very excited, because I have never been in any capital, even in Warsaw.
In the beginner we were in Natural History Museum, which was amazing and very huge. There were so much interesting things! Afterwords me and my friend nearly went with another group of students, because we were talking and didn't see that we don't know those faces and people. Fortunately, we realized that it wasn't our group. But now, I think it would be very funny sytuation, if we went with them. They were polish, so I suppose we would have just a lot of fun :D
Then we went to Mall of Berlin, the point is the new shopping mall. I really liked that place, but we were not there a long time. Me and my friends just went to McDonald's and then we arrived to Technique Museum (or something like that xD) and it was the most borning part of our trip. Everybody just wanted to leave that place and go to the Christmas Market.
Obviously we went there later. And it was awsome. The market was not very big, but very pretty. Of course, we could not forget about the second German shopping mall, which was Arkaden, so we went shopping. I have bought some stuff and I'm very glad of them :))

Daily life

Hello! ♥

I don't know what can I write, because recently nothing has happened. What do I do every day? I have to learn, because I have a lot of exams and quizes! Geography, maths, tomorrow German.. And every day I prepare to a maths competition with my maths teacher and other students. But I don't think that we have any chances :DD
Yesterday I had no homework, so I went with my friend - Ania to the pizzeria, because she had birthday yesterday, so we had to somehow celebrate that day. But we didn't eat pizza, we ordered wings, I don't like them too much, but you know, she loves them.
Today in my school have been a photographer and he has taken us a class photo. I'm afraid of this photo, because I'm not very photogenic.
And tomorrow we will go to the appeal on the occasion Independence Day of Poland, witch is on 11th November, since we have to dress gala clothes, such as white shirt and black skirt. It's cold, so I'll rather dress some trousers. I wanted to lead this appeal, but unfortunately my teacher has choosed the another girl from my class, who I don't like very much... But I hope that I will do it next time :)

So... well... it comes to about... ehm...
Ok, I have no idea, how I can start, but..
I'm from Poland and I have created this blog, because I think that it's a good way to learn English!! :D

Do you know where is Poland? It's a country in central of Europe. I live in a small town, where I go to a 2th class of lower secondary school. I have learnt English since about 6 years, but you can't learn too much in school, so I rather learn on my own. I know my English isn't very good, but recently I have learnt very much and thanks to this blog I'd like to improve it .
What I will write here? Everything about me, my friends, school, travelling (it's my biggest hobby), my English, just everything, I don't have a specific topic. I hope you will understand my (sometimes a little funny) mistakes. If you see something is bad, let me know. I just want to learn and I hope you will help me in this.
